Confidence is a feeling of self-worth and self respect that comes from within. It's knowing you're amazing just as you are, right now. It's not about how much money you have, your job title, or even how many friends you have. Confidence is a feeling of being good enough—and it's something that everyone deserves to have! Confidence Wears Curves is a book about building confidence using the tools of intuitive eating, body-positive yoga, and self-study. These practices can help women who have struggled with their weight and body image find their way back to themselves and learn to feel truly confident in their own skin. This book will offer readers tips, tools, and practices that build confidence and self-esteem by giving them the information and the skills they need to be their best selves.

Introduction to the Book

'In the last few years, we've seen a lot of talk about how to build confidence. We've read countless articles and watched countless videos with tips and tricks on how to feel more confident.

But what if those tips and tricks don't work for you? What if you're a woman who has struggled with her weight and body image for so long that it's become a part of your identity? That's where this book comes in. It seeks to offer women who have struggled with their weight and body image tools, tips, and practices that will help them build confidence—for good this time.

The book is divided into four sections:

  1. Intuitive Eating (what it is; who it's for; tips/practices to develop intuition)

  2. Empowerment (information on nutrition; portions; cravings; intermittent fasting)

  3. Personal Inquiry (remembering body cues hunger, satiety, overindulged; tips/practices for overcoming emotional eating)

  4. Body Positive Yoga (adaptive yoga; customizing with props; sequences for awareness, intuition, sweat/strength, rest/flexibility, and confidence)

The goal is for each section to educate and empower readers by offering them concrete actions they can take toward building confidence in their lives. Compiled by a group of experts in their fields, I hope this book will be a resource that helps my fellow women feel empowered by their bodies again.'

Podcaster, Body Positive Yoga Teacher, Embodiment Coach

After a lifelong struggle with her weight Sadie ditched diet culture and lost 140lbs. by asking herself one simple question. Sadie has successfully rewritten her story of struggle to one of confidence and empowerment.

As a podcast host, embodiment coach and now author, Sadie leads women to embrace their voluptuous life by creating unshakable confidence in their curves. She teaches intuitive eating for a happy relationship with food; body positive yoga that fosters an empowering relationship with movement; and opens a dialogue for deep, personal inquiry into the story behind her clients’ body image struggles.

Sadie believes that when a woman breaks free from her prison of self-loathing and makes peace with her body, the life she's dreaming of becomes a reality—she wears the bikini, she buys the lingerie, she tries new things, she goes on the trip—because she owns her confidence.
