Shreya Iyengar
Reader, Writer, Educator
India
Shreya holds a master’s degree in English Literature from the University of Delhi and has completed her advanced diploma in French (the DELF B2) from the Alliance Française de Delhi. Her work (fiction and nonfiction) has appeared in Elephant Journal, The Punch Magazine, The Bombay Review, Quiet Revolution and The Potato Soup Journal. A daydreamer and overthinker at heart, she’s the happiest when writing in a hardcover notebook or reading on her Kindle Paperwhite. Her favourite genre is contemporary fiction; she also loves recommending books to people. Outside of making lesson plans and preparing other classroom material, she enjoys journaling, yoga, swimming and (occasionally) baking. She’s also a stationery aficionado who hoards Pilot/Uniball pens and (ruled) notebooks. She hopes to engage with children’s literature as an academic discipline in the long term. Shreya lives and works in New Delhi, India.
